A young Trinidadian street vendor must travel to Toronto and decide if he will help save his estranged father from dying in this family drama. The child of immigrants from Trinidad and Tobago, Canadian filmmaker Ian Harnarine—named one of Filmmaker Magazine’s “25 New Faces of Independent Film”—drew upon his own experiences dealing with a parent’s illness to create a poignant meditation on what can be lost in the search for a better life.
