Dressed in Blue is a groundbreaking film showcasing the lives of six trans women in post-Franco Spain. Framed around an elegant ladies’ luncheon, this documentary allows the women to take center stage in presenting their life stories and dreams, as well as letting audiences in on intimate footage of trans feminine routines—hip padding, hormones, waxing, and breast augmentation. These dolls are as vicious as they are glamorous, arguing and reading each other for filth about everything from fur coats to money. Join NewFest in celebrating 40-plus years of this iconic piece of trans cinema with a stunning HD restoration, bringing the film back to the big screen in all its original splendor.

Audiences are encouraged to check out the US premiere of VENENO Season 2: DRESSED IN BLUE, which celebrates the enduring legacy of this retrospective film, during their NewFest36 festival experience.
