This murky political thriller from director Tony Scott tells the story of several dangerously corrupt NSA agents and their plot to kill a US congressman. When a recording of the murder accidentally ends up in the hands of an unsuspecting lawyer, the agents stop at nothing to cover up the crime. Released 15 years before Edward Snowden leaked highly classified information about the NSA’s potentially dangerous capabilities, this prophetic film about the American deep state features Will Smith, Gene Hackman, Jack Black, Jason Lee, and Regina King.
