  • BAM Film 2024
Directed by Shu Lea Cheang (2017)
With Bishop Black, Kristina Marlen, William E. Morris, Alexander Geist

In a post-AIDS future of 2060, mutated AIDS viruses give birth to ZERO GEN: humans who have evolved in a unique way, producing a 21st century hypernarcotic code-named DELTA, which diffuses through skin contact and creates an addictive high. When the ZERO GEN are declared illegal, a new war on drugs begins, waged by drug-resistant replicants dispatched by the government. But immunity breaks down for one of these government androids, revealing a tangled plot involving underground drug lords, a scheming corporation, and a corrupt government.

Join us for a Q&A with cinematographer James Carman moderated by Alexandra Juhasz, Distinguished Professor of Film at Brooklyn College, following the 7pm screening on Saturday, June 22.
