The Bikeriders

NEW RELEASE
    Part of
  • BAM Film 2024
Directed by Jeff Nichols (2024)
With Jodie Comer, Austin Butler, Tom Hardy, Michael Shannon, Mike Faist, Norman Reedus

Written and directed by Jeff Nichols (Take Shelter, Mud, Midnight Special), and inspired by a classic 1968 book of iconic photographs by Danny Lyons, who documented what he experienced as a member of a Chicago motorcycle club, The Bikeriders evokes a rebellious time in America, when the culture and people were changing. After a chance encounter at a local bar, strong-willed Kathy (Jodie Comer) is drawn to Benny (Austin Butler), the newest member of Midwestern motorcycle club the Vandals, led by the enigmatic Johnny (Tom Hardy). Like the country around it, the club begins to evolve, transforming from a gathering place for local outsiders into a dangerous, violent underworld, forcing Benny to choose between Kathy and his loyalty to the club.
