With
Tilda Swinton, Flavio Parenti, Edoardo Gabbriellini, Alba Rohrwacher, Pippo Delbono
The new issue of Notebook, MUBI’s film journal, is devoted to the art of food on film. To celebrate, BAM is thrilled to screen Luca Guadagnino’s lush melodrama I Am Love, featuring an introduction by bestselling cookbook author Alison Roman and critic Elissa Suh. In turn-of-the-millennium Milan, the wife of a wealthy industrialist (Tilda Swinton) slips into a torrid affair with a talented chef (Edoardo Gabbriellini). For these lovers, food and sensuality are one and the same. From cakes to ukha, every dish he prepares only turns up the heat between them—and an unforgettable dish of glazed prawns is their gateway to unbridled passion.
