Southland Tales

Set in the then near-future landscape of 2008 Los Angeles, this ensemble black comedy about the city’s impending social and economic collapse satirizes the military-industrial complex and accelerating infotainment industry. A sprawling cast of characters circle a shadowy conspiracy, which literalizes a Pynchonesque love of “low” culture through its cast of mid-00s pop culture icons.
