    Part of
  • Long Play
  • and
  • Winter/Spring 2024

Taught by his grandfather, master kora player Yacouba Sissoko comes from a family line of Malian musicians dating back centuries. Percussionist Moussa Diabaté is an internationally acclaimed dancer, choreographer, drummer, and balafon player. Together, Sissoko and Diabaté are out to expand the awareness of West African history and culture through music, including at this free performance as part of the Long Play festival.

Get the most out of Long Play with a 3-day or 1-day pass, and peruse the full festival schedule to plan your entire weekend!

LONG PLAY is particularly grateful for the generous lead support from the Howard Gilman Foundation, Kettering Family Foundation, ASCAP, Qobuz, and Atlantic Records. This program is also supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council, and the New York State Council of the Arts.
