Celebrate ‘Stacey Speaks Up’ with Stacey Abrams

Tue, Sep 24, 2024

BAM Presented with Greenlight Bookstore

Stacey Speaks Up
An Evening for Families with Stacey Abrams
In Conversation with Maulik Pancholy

A is for activist, advocate, attorney, author… and Abrams! That’s Stacey Abrams, the nationally admired Georgia politician, who comes to BAM for an in-person chat about the third and newest title in Stacey’s Stories, her #1  New York Times bestselling and NAACP Image Award–winning picture-book series, illustrated by Kitt Thomas. In Stacey Speaks Up, Stacey and her friends can’t wait for Friday, also known as TacoPizza FryDay! But when Stacey discovers that some of her classmates can't afford to eat lunch, she knows she has to do something—but what? Inspired by Abrams’s legacy of grassroots activism, this story shows how everyone has the power to make a difference.
