Vollmond (Full Moon)
A piece by Pina Bausch
Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch
- Part of
- Winter/Spring 2027
First performed in 2006 by Tanztheater Wuppertal, the matchless company Bausch led for more than three decades, this astonishing evening-length dance comes back to BAM, where it first splashed down during Next Wave 2010. The eagerly anticipated return of the company, now led by artistic and executive director Dr. Daniel Siekhaus, extends a creative partnership first sparked by Bausch’s New York debut at BAM in 1984.
Elemental, visceral, and utterly unforgettable, Vollmond is a breathtaking testament to Bausch’s singular art and enduring legacy, and an experience to be felt as much as seen.
