Convinced that every man carries within him the seeds of good and evil, the virtuous, inquisitive Dr. Henry Jekyll puts his theory to the test with a new serum that his unbridled, primal alter ego, Mr. Hyde. Debonair Hollywood leading man Fredric March (The Best Years of Our Lives, A Star Is Born) won an Academy Award for his portrayal of the title roles in Rouben Mamoulian’s pre-code adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s 1886 gothic horror novella.
